“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself exactly as I am, then I can change.”
Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person
In my work as a counselor, it is my sincere desire to offer you a safe space to explore your deepest pain and hidden hope, and that through this process, you can begin to walk that fine line between acceptance and change that Rogers speaks of in the quote above. When we undertake the task of self-exploration in counseling, what we are really doing is learning to author our own stories in a way that draws on our innate sense of creativity. Making the decision to begin therapy is essentially putting pen to paper maybe for the first time to express who you are and what you value. And it is a very brave step.
I enjoy working with adults, college students, teenagers and children (8+). If you would like to set up an appointment, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
