I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) serving the Atlanta area.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am trained to work with any combination of individuals, couples, and families. While I have experience with clients of all ages, my passion is working with adolescents, children, and young adults as they navigate the murky waters of growing up. As a counselor, it is my sincere desire to offer you a safe space where you can explore your deepest pain and hidden hopes, and will find some measure of peace and strength to change. It is my privilege to walk beside you as you begin taking these first brave steps.
Education and Experience
For my undergraduate education, I attended the University of Georgia, majoring in English Literature. There I was able to nurture my love of reading, writing, and story telling. I love this quote attributed to C.S. Lewis in Shadowlands: “We read to know we are not alone.” I believe my love of story and my passion for counseling are rooted in the same desire to enter deeply into the human experience.
After undergrad, I received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a specialization in Child and Adolescent Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. I completed my practicum at Mount Paran Pastoral Counseling Center as well as the Hope Center, where I learned to work with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family problems, grief and loss, self esteem, and divorce.
